Your 90-Day Plan for Gym Growth

Do you ever struggle with managing your time, getting everything done and finding the time to get your big projects done so that you can achieve your business goals?

Don’t worry, you’re not alone!  In fact, most fitness business owners and successful people fight this battle every single day. But, the most successful people have discovered a simple trick to help them get more done:

Create a 90-day plan, and stick to it!

They say that the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. But I say the best way to eat an elephant, is to build a plan, and then implement the plan in bite-size sections. 😉

If you want a great 90-day plan for gym growth you need to have a solid, long-term vision and 1-year goals.
The Long Term Vision will ensure that what you’re doing actually matters.  It also helps you course correct when needed and will help you get pointed in the right direction.

You also need to know what you need to accomplish in the next 12 months to help you accomplish your Long Term Vision.

What are the objectives that need to be completed, the numbers hit and the goals reached if you want to be on track?

For example if your Long Term Vision is to have a new 5,000 square foot training facility with a team of 3-4 coaches and you’re doing $500,000/year in revenue in 3 years where do you need to be in 1 year from today to make that reality?

Most likely you’ll need to be at close to $200,000/year in revenue, start saving for the move into your new facility, and being the process of creating a system to find, hire and train the right coaches for your business.

Break Down Your 1-Year Goals

Now that you have a starting point for your goals it’s time to figure out where to start.

If you’re going to hit $200k in revenue this year what does that look link in terms of clients?  How many new clients do you need to get each month to hit that number?

What are you missing in your business now to be able to reach that number?  Do you need a better marketing plan or systems?

Start by assessing your business, just like you would with a client to determine your top 3-5 priorities.

These will be your priorities for the year. They don’t all have to be addressed now or even in the next 90 days, but at the end of the year you’ll need to have accomplished them all.

Pick Your Top 1-3 Projects

The first time you do this for your business it can seem overwhelming! There will be a lot of things you ‘think’ you need to fix in your business.

But, it’s critical that you stay at the top of your list and pick the top 1-3 projects that you can tackle in the next 90 days to move closer to your goals.

We call these projects your Rocks. They will be the most important things in your business over the next 90 days. Rocks will help you focus and prioritize your time.

Rocks will help you focus and prioritize your time

Time management is less about having some fancy system and more about being able to focus in on your priorities.

It’s about doing the most important tasks and projects to move your business forward. But, without a plan and without Rocks you lose sight of your priorities.

Having 1-3 (seriously don’t try to do more, it’s a losing battle!) Rocks and completing them will slingshot your business towards hitting your yearly goals.

If you did a good job setting your Rocks then you can use them as your guiding post.  You should be hitting milestones on their completion each week. A majority of your time should be spent working on them.

Here are some examples of Rocks:

13 Weeks to Success

Each year you have four 13-week periods to attack your goals and make serious progress on your business.

If you accomplish just TWO Rocks in each of these quarters you’ll have accomplished 8 big objectives for your business at the end of the year.

Imagine how great it will feel to look back and see the progress you’ve made and momentum you’ve created by narrowing your focus and staying on task.

Creating (and following) 90-day plans will make that a reality for you!

You’ll begin to have a sense of purpose for your actions, you’ll start seeing changes rapidly taking place in your business and you’ll have control over your time.
